We collect information you provide directly to us, such as when you create an account, use our services, or contact us for support. This may include your name, email address, and any other information you choose to provide.

4. Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

Automatic backup (Android). If you choose a backup folder in the app (for example on Google Drive, Dropbox or a memory card), the Android version of Timberlog keeps a copy of your felling permits, ledger, declarations and vault, together with your lists and settings, in that folder. Measurement photos are not included. The app writes only to the folder you selected; the developer has no access to it and receives no data from it. If the folder is with a cloud storage provider, that provider's terms apply. You can stop using the folder at any time in the app and delete existing copies in your file manager or at the storage provider.

Automatic backup (iCloud, iPhone and iPad). When iCloud Drive is enabled, the iOS version of Timberlog keeps a copy of your felling permits, ledger, declarations and vault, together with your lists and settings, in a Timberlog folder in your own iCloud account. Measurement photos are not included. The copy stays with you: the developer has no access to it and receives no data from it. It is subject to Apple's iCloud terms. You can turn the backup off at any time and delete existing copies in the Files app.

5. Cookies

The website uses Google Analytics 4 to measure visits (pages viewed, language, clicks on the app store links). Analytics and marketing storage are denied by default (Google Consent Mode) and are enabled only after you choose "Accept all" or enable the corresponding category in the cookie banner; "Only necessary" (or closing the banner) keeps them off. Your choice is stored in your browser (localStorage key "cookie-consent") and can be changed at any time by clearing that entry. Apart from that entry the website itself sets no cookies.
