Scan the QR code from your harvesting permit (Slovenia: ZGS eGozd), import the plot as GeoJSON, or capture a GPS point with your phone. EUDR declaration in under 5 minutes
The app prepares the EUDR simplified declaration: HS subheadings per species (e.g. 4403 23 spruce), estimated annual quantity in m³ and kg, cadastral codes and plot geolocations, permit numbers — ordered to match the official EU Information System fields. Country guides
EUDR practice differs by country. The first Timberlog release focuses on Slovenia, Austria and Croatia — the module works EU-wide with manual permit entry and generic GeoJSON import.
Slovenia: harvesting permits are issued by the Slovenia Forest Service (ZGS). Permits carry an eGozd QR code — Timberlog scans it, imports the plot geometry, converts it to WGS84 where needed and records the cadastral code the EU Information System accepts instead of coordinates.
Austria: most small-owner harvests are "freie Fällung" and need no felling permit under the Forest Act (§§ 85–92) — but EUDR still applies to the sale. Timberlog records the no-permit case with one pre-filled entry.
Croatia: felling approval ("doznaka") and transport documents ("popratnica") are issued via licensed foresters; HAPIH is the competent authority and officially recommends capturing plot geolocation with a mobile device — exactly what Timberlog does at measurement time.
Germany: forest law is state-level and ordinary harvests usually need no felling permit — but EUDR still applies when the timber is sold. The guide covers deadlines, plot geolocation and the simplified declaration step by step.
For sawmills and traders
Buying logs from forest owners? Your part of EUDR is verifying and keeping the numbers — as a small business (SME) you do not submit a statement of your own.
What to ask your supplier for
The reference and verification number of their declaration, name and address, species and quantity. A small sawmill (SME) does not submit its own statement.
How to verify the number
In the official EU system, use the Verification button: enter both numbers, the system confirms "statement is valid" and issues a PDF.
What to keep for 5 years

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to submit an EUDR due diligence statement as a forest owner?
If you place timber on the EU market (selling logs to a sawmill or trader), you are the operator and you submit the statement. Micro and small enterprises from low-risk countries (all EU member states) use the simplified declaration: you submit it once, before your first sale after 30 December 2026, and it stays valid. You update it only when you get a permit for a new plot or start selling a different commodity (different HS code).
When does EUDR apply?
For timber, from 30 December 2026 — for all sizes, including natural persons and small businesses (the timber sector was already covered by the EUTR). The 30 June 2027 date applies only to micro/small operators outside the timber sector. You submit the declaration once, before your first sale after that date.
Do I have to submit the EUDR declaration every year?
No. The simplified declaration for micro and small primary operators is submitted once and stays valid; the reference number does not change. You update it in the official EU system (Update button) only on a material change: a new plot, a new commodity/HS code, or a change in the country’s risk classification. A change in the estimated quantity alone does not require an update. Timberlog detects such changes and reminds you.
How much does the EUDR module cost?
Record-keeping is free all season: entering permits, automatic harvest recording, and previewing the declaration. A paid in-app upgrade unlocks only exporting/submitting the declaration.
Does Timberlog submit the declaration for me?
No. Timberlog prepares all the data in the field order of the official EU Information System and exports the geolocation as a GeoJSON file for upload; you submit the declaration yourself. Direct API submission is planned for a later release.
